Moving

So I absolutely hate moving especially with a disability. There are so many special things you have to look for. For me, the most important thing is the restroom. Ideally, it would have a walk in shower with bars in it.
I thought that I would have a husband by now and be happy to move, but no. My mother and I have to move for the 3rd time since my injury and it’s such a pain!
Now we have looked at many apartments/ houses, but were unable to find one with all the special conditions I was looking for. Now we finally found one that matched my needs! The home was in Avensong and it had a master on the main with a bathroom. The layout was absolutely perfect!
The only problem was there was a tub under the shower. Now the person whom we would be renting from said that in order to eventually sell the house a walk in shower might be worth installing. Well I’m guessing she learned how expensive it was because she came up with a new alternative. The alternative worked for me! We keep the tub, but were going to put a cut-out in it! That’s basically the same as a walk-in shower!
So we both agree to put it on lease. However, it’s a bit more expensive than our other home. So my mom has to pick up more tutoring kids and I just have to pay more in rent, but we will both be okay. Now what we need to do is find some big bulky men to help us move J

Lesson

So Monday I had my first driving lesson with the driving instructor from Shepherd Center, Dan Allison. He had mentioned that he was only looking for me to drive around Alpharetta. I was only sort- of alright with that because I know my way around Alpharetta. However, what if I have a friend that lives in the city?
Well guess what! He had forgotten my left foot accelerator. The device I use to not make me have to reach so far with my left foot over the pedals. So he said drive back to Shepherd Center! Shepherd Center is off Lenox Road and it’s up 400!
Now he did have to make a few tiny adjustments to my driving, but nothing major! We scheduled this perfect because lessons are scheduled before therapy two days a week through the month of October.
So I am hoping that I will be able to drive anywhere I choose! However, it would be ok if for right now I am only able to drive around Alpharetta.
