Next Monday I
will get the opportunity speak with classes at Kell High school. This is not
through Shepherd Center, I am actually speaking by myself! The instructor did
not give me guidelines or a theme to follow. She is letting me talk about
whatever I think is appropriate. I found this Motivational Speaking job from a
girl who heard me speak through Shepherd Center. Her husband works at Kell High
School and needed someone to talk.
I have only
spoken with middle school students in the past. So, I have to change my speech
around some. High school students are
more mature and need less humor. Also,
the theme of it was supposed to be about prevention and safe driving. This time
I’m going to stress the importance of staying in school. The class is 90
minutes long, so hopefully I can speak for that long!
