Several years ago I needed to use the Brain and Spinal
Injury Trust Fund Commission.
Everything is expensive for me including physical therapy. For the outpatient group, that I used, they
require you to pay out of pocket. It runs about $100 per hour. At the time, I
was in need of therapy. However, you can use the money that they give you for
home modifications, computers, modified vans, counseling, dental services and
personal services. First you apply and then you go through the application
process. The entire process took me about a year so the time to start is NOW!
Once you have submitted your application and all the necessary documents the distribution
committee will review your application. Next,
the committee will vote on whether to accept or reject the application. The governor’s
office will give the final approval and you will receive anywhere from 1,000 to
15,000. It will be a tremendous help to
